Inauguration & Public Dedication
The World Peace Dome,World Peace Prayer Hall & Library was inaugurated on the 2nd of October 2018, by the Honb’le Vice President of India, Shri. Venkaiah Naidu. This occasion was specially organized on the 150th birth anniversary of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi the man who taught the philosophy of non-violence to the world. From the 2nd to the 5th of October 2018, MIT World Peace University also organized and celebrated the World Parliament of Science, Religion and Philosophy. The occasion was graced by Revered Prof. (Dr.) Vishwanath D. Karad, who was felicitated by the Honb’le Vice President India for his immense contribution to India at large, and the humankind specifically. Revered Prof. (Dr.) Vishwanath D. Karad’s endeavours to uplift human kind and his consistent philanthropic contributions were truly appreciated by the Honb’le Vice President and also by all other dignitaries present at the event. The World Peace Dome has also been conceptualized and designed by none other than Revered Prof. (Dr.) Vishwanath D. Karad. His futuristic thoughts and his conviction to give life to Swami Vivekananda ’s thoughts, led him to undertake the creation of this magnificent architectural complex.

The Vice President of India was the Chief Guest on the occasion of inauguration of the World Peace Dome ,World Peace Prayer Hall & Library. While Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis was the guest of honour, curtain unveiling of World Peace Dome and ribbon cutting was done by Vice President, M. Venkaiah Naidu. Other dignitaries present on the dais were Dr Raghunath Mashelkar, Dr Vijay Bhatkar, Mayor MuktaTilak, Revered Prof. (Dr.) Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder President MIT World Peace University, Rahul Karad, Executive President MIT-WPU and Prof Mangesh Karad, Executive President MITADT University. The august gathering was addressed by Rahul V . Karad who appealed to the audience to recognize the World Peace Dome, World Peace Prayer Hall & Library as the structure of national and global importance and to support in such a way that it idolizes it as one of the prominent tourism destinations in the world.
In his own words Revered Prof. (Dr.) Vishwanath D. Karad said, “World lacks peace of mind when everything is available at one click in the 21st century. This Dome includes 54 statues of founders of religions, saints, scientists and philosophers. Statue of God Ram stands in the center of the statues giving the message of vishva shanti and humanity.” Remembering Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Anniversary, Naidu said, “Gandhiji had always emphasized on truth, simplicity, kindness, peace and non-violence. He had said that a man should never forget five things– Mother, Native Place, Mother Tongue, Motherland and Guru.” Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis said, “This Dome is the greatest contribution in the history of the world. The world is changing and so is India which is taking strides to bring harmony and peace in the world. Saint Dyaneshwar always believed that the evil elements in humans must cease to exist. Today the people gathered here are an inspiration to the world for humanity and peace.”
